TODAY’S STORY

Google quietly launched a new film and TV production initiative called 100 Zeros in partnership with Range Media Partners.
The multiyear partnership is tasked with identifying projects that Google can fund or produce.
Google has a few goals with 100 Zeros: promote its products to the creative community, improve tech’s image among young audiences, and make Android culturally relevant.
Although Google dominates the global mobile phone market, Apple outsells it in the U.S. and dominates the teen market. Piper Sandler's spring survey found 88% of U.S. teens owned an iPhone.
100 Zeros isn’t Google’s only initiative to improve the perception of its products and services. The company runs a separate partnership with United Talent Agency focused on product placement, which landed Google’s Pixel in “The White Lotus” and “Wicked.”
Android may not be cool in the group chat, but it could be cool on screen.
